I don’t know about you, but for me it is always a thrill having the opportunity to take pictures of wild animals. I guess you can imagine my feelings when I watched this heron fly across the little lake and land merely 50 meters in front of me on the path. The first picture I took was with the 50mm lens and of course its a worthless shot. But hey, I hat at least a picture in case he would notice me and fly away again.

I then switched to the 90mm and slowly approached, taking pictures every now and then, expecting him to fly away any moment. Much to my surprise he ignored me, even when i was only about 3 meters away and so I got quite a few nice shots until he got too bored with posing and flew away.

One note regarding the EXIF data, the shots have of course not been taken with a 35mm lens, but with my 90mm Summarit. I simply forgot to switch back to automatic lens detection in the camera.
