You know, I start to think I need a bit of bad luck to get good pictures.

We had this really nice weather last Sunday. A bit of a snow storm on Saturday and then a lovely blue sky with some clouds on Sunday. Being Sunday, I had of course a nice long breakfast, read the newspaper and then grabbed the camera to go on a little snow shoe hike. Oh thanks for asking, I got new ones 🙂

Of course all of Switzerland had the same idea and at all the places I wanted to visit, the parking was full. So I drove back and finally found a free slot down by Lake Sihl. I was quite disapointed first, as I wanted to be in the mountains but grabbed my gear never the less and laid a fresh track right across the fields.

And you know what? It was rather nice! Peaceful and quiet, not many people and a very lovely scenery. Though my track probably looked as if I was seriously drunk once I saw this cabin and tried to get to get a good shot without having my own track in the frame…

All shots taken with the Leica Monochrom, Zeis Sonnar 50mm and a medium red filter

It may be small, but it sure looks nice!
